A cat lover for as long as I can remember, I previously worked in a cattery setting and loved meeting so many amazing cats. Alongside my cattery work, I studied a Foundation Degree in Animal Health and Welfare with the University of South Wales and took the opportunity to focus as much of my studies as possible on our feline friends. My classmates would be the first to tell you that I was "The Cat Lady".
I have studied Cat and Dog First Aid at Coleg Gwent Usk and Feline Health and Behaviour with the International Cat Care organisation. As a member of the Cats Protection charity I have 24/7 access to a veterinary nurse phone line.
I myself have a beautiful super senior 18 year old moggie called Bella. My other lovely girl Mrs Snuffles sadly passed away last year, but both were models for my 'Emma's Cat Sitting' logo.
Aside from my cat obsession, I'm a friendly, polite and trustworthy person. I'm DBS checked, have both public liability and professional indemnity insurance and will happily provide references on request.
I've provided cat sitting for friends and family over the years and I really value the longer periods of time I get to spend with cats on these visits. Knowing from my studies how detrimental stress can be for a cat's physical and mental health, it's very important to me that I provide a service that is all about your cat. Spending time with them to observe their health and behaviour is of paramount importance and forms the crux of my service.
